    OMV (https://www.openmediavault.org/) ist ein Betriebssystem mit Oberfläche, das es erlaubt einen PC als NAS zu konfigurieren. Ein entsprechendes Image hat Kamil im Angebot.

    Unser @tkaiser bietet auch selbst zusammen gestellte Images an, die wohl zu einem großen Teil auf Armbian basieren. Hier kündigt er ein solches an.

    Ich habe mal testweise das OMV Image vom Kamil installiert.

    Für den SSH Zugriff als Root ist die Option "Erlaube root Login" einzuschalten.

    Nein, das ist keine gute Idee. Aber ist hier nur ein Testsystem!

    Gut, OMV zu erklären würde wohl den Rahmen hier sprengen. Ich zeige einfach ein paar Screenshots.

    Zum Mounten muss man einmal auf Einbinden klicken. Bleibt das auch nach einem Reboot erhalten? Ja, bleibt es natürlich 😉

    Eine NFS-Freigabe anlegen ging problemlos. Nur das Einbinden in meinem Sys wollte nicht so richtig, irgendwas mit Benutzerrechten. Ist jetzt aber mal gar kein ROCKPro64 Problem..

    Wer ein kleines NAS aufsetzen will, ist mit dem OMV gar nicht schlecht dran. Dürfte für die meisten alleine schon wegen der grafischen Benutzeroberfläche interessant sein. Ich liebe es ja mittlerweile alles auf der Konsole zu machen, aber es gibt eine Menge Leute die sich damit nicht auseinandersetzen wollen. Ok, für die gibt es OMV 🙂

    Hallo @mabs,

    es ging bei meinem Post gar nicht um den dhcpd, also den Daemon der die Adressen verteilt. Hintergrund, ich versuche gerade mal wieder einen Router auf Basis eines ROCKPro64 zu bauen. Dabei bin ich in Kamils Debian Minimal über die zweite IP-Adresse gestolpert.

    Danke aber für deine Anregungen.

    Es gibt da aber wohl mit dem Debian Minimal irgendwelche Probleme mit dem Forwarding, so das ich das jetzt auf einem Bionic mache, dort klappt das einwandfrei. Aber dazu später ausführlich in einem anderen Thread.

    Kurzer Test, ok ist was länger geworden 🙂 Mit Debian Buster Minimal habe ich es nicht hinbekommen 😞 Das soll aber nicht heißen, das es nicht geht. WLan auf der Konsole ist nicht meine Stärke. Ok, dann Desktop.

    Installiert, kurz WLan 5G aktiviert, eingeloggt. Netzwerkkabel entfernt. Firefox angeworfen, Rammstein Viedo in 1080p angeworfen. Läuft alles einwandfrei.

    Und PCIe NVMe SSD geht auch 😉

    Das Desktop System ist mittlerweile richtig gut zu benutzen. Aber ich bin verwöhnt, mir ist das immer viel zu langsam. Das soll aber niemanden davon abhalten, sich das mal anzusehen. Je nach Einsatzzweck sicherlich interessant.

    Das ganze hat einen furchtbar schönen Vorteil. Mal angenommen, ich habe ein NodeBB-Forum in einem Container laufen. Will das Ding updaten und das crasht einfach mal so. Egal, Container stoppen, Container starten und alles läuft wieder.

    Mit dem Commit sichere ich mir dann den Zustand nachdem ich weiß, das alles klappt 🙂
